W.H. Greene & Associates had its humble beginnings in late 1986. Bill Greene left his job as vice president of a major national wholesaler with the dream of building an organization designed from the ground up to serve the special needs of retail agents. His vision was broad, but his first office was his father’s dining room table.

Within a couple of months, W.H. Greene & Associates had contracts with key specialty lines companies and moved to its first real office, a pleasant 900 square foot second floor space in the village of Orchard Park, NY. Bill was joined by an additional broker and two CSR’s. The firm quickly established its reputation as a top notch, 100% commercial, 100% wholesale brokerage and underwriting unit.

In the fall of 1990, with staffing at six and growing, offices were moved to our own building, a beautiful 3,300 square foot office on a tree-lined lot, in Orchard Park, NY. The space was utilized well, but, by the summer of 2002, the corporation had grown to the point where we were bursting at the seams, and the decisions was made to look for larger quarters.

In October of 2002, the corporation moved to its present 10,000 square foot facility located in the picturesque village of East Aurora, NY. Not only does staff continue to grow, but we are now doing business in over thirty states. Our growth would not have been possible without the continued trust and support of our clients.

Our efforts over the years have created a company that is unmatched in experience and reputation. Our youngest underwriters would be the senior-most staffers elsewhere in the industry.
